We are super excited to launch the talents of Celeste Potter and Darcy Prendergast in the moving image.
Celeste has been working with the studio on some of our most loved campaigns as lead illustrator for the likes of BBDO New York and Leo Burnett Sydney. On top of illustrating a swag of album art for musicians, she has directed music videos for Sarah Blasko and An Horse and has just completed her first commercial work for Foster’s, via DDB Melbourne. She also fronts punk band Ouch My Face. If you are looking for a very considered yet whimsical style, then Celeste is your director.
Darcy Prendergast joins XYZ as our lead stop-motion director. Spending every waking moment with a pen, paintbrush or ball of clay in hand, Darcy has exhibited at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, winning the Junior Stanley Award and the $20,000 Nescafe Big Break Prize. Darcy’s cheeky short films have been selected for prestigious festivals such as Annecy Festival International du Film d’Animation and Stuttgart Internationales Trickfilm. Adam Elliot chose Darcy as lead sculptor and assistant animator on the feature “Mary and Max”. He has also worked on commercials for Cadbury’s, ABC Kids and music videos for many of Australia’s top acts such as Gotye and Midnight Juggernaughts. His music video ‘Lucky’ for All India Radio won ‘Best Music Video’ at the St. Kilda Film Festival and ATOM Awards.
